About DamnedGames.com and the
Cabin Fever retail store

Cabin Fever retail store, home of damnedgames.com
Our curious and offbeat merchandise is hand selected for high amusement value and/or ability to agitate people.
Many of our games are Games Magazine 100 winners or Mensa Select game winners. Other items are just plain weird but we really like them.

Our original Cabin Fever retail store opened in May 1995 in Idyllwild, California.
In 2002, after being burned in effigy by the local populace, our staff unanimously voted to move 2000 miles east to Honor, Michigan. Again we were chased from town by angry farmers with pitchforks and substandard education.
Which explains why we're now located in Reno, Nevada.

Our online store is called DamnedGames.com.
After all, we have a damned fine selection of toys and games.
We're damned happy about it. For years our parents told us to
"Pick up those damned games!"
So we did.
And opened a store with them.

DamnedGames.com and Cabin Fever are an independent business and not a greedy bottom-feeding monopoly or corporation.
This is not to say that we don't want your money.
'Cause we do. The family has got to eat.

We do not answer to a board of directors, banking institution, CEO, CFO, FDA or The Illuminati.
We answer only to our customers. And our mother.
Hi Mom!

We appreciate the absurd and encourage eccentricity. We laugh a lot. Especially at ourselves.
We're sincere in our commitment to outstanding customer service, accessibility of our staff and owner, and ascertaining the most unusual selection of cool stuff.

damnedgames Latte Sneak a peek inside the store!

Our retail store location is currently closed but we will be open again in Spring 2006
damnedgames.com is always open.

Traverse Magazine did a nice write-up on us in their July edition and the Benzie Record Patriot newspaper did a great story about the Proprietor and Retail Goddess, Rachael Black.
The reporter also mentioned the store and our staff too. Said staff may soon purchase their freedom from Indentured Servitude with a few more great articles. And $50,000. cash. Shhh. Don't mention the money part to them.

Reno has gorgeous desert vistas, the Truckee River, insanely close proximity to Tahoe skiing and a lot of California transplants. When visiting the Cabin Fever store you'll probably see many of the native animals in our area; deer, otters, quail, hawks, and the never elusive Washoe County Redneck. In the Spring you can watch the Reactionary Right-Wingers perform their traditional mating ritual! Not in the store of course.

I like it here. You should visit.
